My healing journey

As goes for so many, my childhood wasn’t exactly ‘normal’. From a very young age, I saw things others couldn’t see and didn’t understand. Apparently I interacted with something I saw and which or whom made me laugh! Must have been a funny sight for my parents.

However, they didn’t understand my sensitivity and what was going on with me. School has always been a challenge. Being in an environment with so many people and impulses all the time was always a bit much. This made that I developed some behavioural issues, which they later diagnosed as Tourette’s syndrome. With what I know now, I’d say that means ‘an overload of impulses’ syndrome, and a lack in knowing how to regulate that.

Fortunately, I was a smart kid, so even though I missed a lot of classes during my entire school time, I did make it to University. After attending business school, I started studying law which resulted in me specializing in health law. I’ve had a management job for years, and tried different law jobs. At first sight I took a ‘normal’ path and scored some high points.

However, during the years I kept on struggling with different health issues. At a certain point I had issues with my heart, which knocked me out for years before the doctors finally found and fixed the issues. Since they first denied something being wrong with my heart, my symptoms scared me more and more up until the point where I developed serious anxiety attacks. This was no fun! Later I developed serious pain issues in my neck/arm/shoulder area, which again knocked me out of ‘normal’ life. I totally didn’t get why these weird things kept happening to me! Every time when I would get into some normal life stuff, my body said no.

In the meantime, my family struggled with a lot of issues. Huge family fights and family members struggling with their own (mental) health issues. This resulted in me getting way too much responsibility on my shoulders at a young age. I carried lots of (family) trauma. I tried some regular therapy throughout the years, but I never really felt a connection with treatments in that area. It was like the people I tried working with never really understood me.

When I was staying in Australia for a while, I met this amazing woman from France, who had been living in Australia for decades by that time. We connected really well and after me sharing my life’s story, she recommended me to try family constellations. She explained to me that this is much more of holistic approach to therapy and healing family issues.

When I got back to the Netherlands after Australia, I didn’t like this at all! A lot of old stuff got stirred back up and I struggled with this severely. I started with the family constellations, and that changed everything for me. It gave me so much insight in my patterns and finally opened me up properly to work with my psychic abilities. Together with the family constellations, I started to try out so many more alternative healing modalities, which gave me so much insight! Insights which I now love to pass on. Since I now know there’s so much progress possible! Even after quite a serious history. So be welcome :)
